課程概述 |
The course introduces ICT-based (Information and Communication Technology) foreign language learning strategies that build up the students’ own personal ELearning framework (i.e., awareness of self, language learning processes and structures, linguistic knowledge, and communication skills), a vital element of second/foreign language learning, which allows students to define, manage and self-regulate their learning continuously, while equipping them with both General and Specialized knowledge through topics like Food, Movies, Astronomy, Technology, Architecture, Bails, etc. |

課程目標 |
This course aims to provide students an opportunity to learn how to strike a balance between test-oriented learning and task-based learning through exposure to academic research skills such as analytical and critical thinking within ELearning. |

課程要求 |
Students must be sophomore and above；and should score a low-intermediate to intermediate language proficiency level (cf CEFR A2-B1, 全民英劍中級)
Course Assessments
60% Achievement Tests
On three dates (10/2, 11/26, 1/14), students sit in an Achievement Test.
10% Attendance
Attendance is checked randomly during the semester. To file for a leave of absence: 1. Be sure to ask for a leave of absence through the NTU system; 2. Verbally inform the teacher on the following week to confirm your leave of absence.
20% ELearning (Listening/Reading Comprehension) OEP
Using the following eLearning program, students engage in individual online learning (1 unit for Listening Comprehension and 1 unit for Reading Comprehension during 12 weeks, TOTALLING TO 24 units of practice of listening and reading comprehension) :

10% Online/ Language Proficiency in Listening/Reading Test (e.g.GEPT)
On Jan 7th students sit in an Online Listening/Reading Test (e.g. GEPT) which lasts approximately 50 mins.
